The Queen insists on round ice cubes instead of square ones so they don’t clink too loudly on the glass
THE Queen often enjoys a tipple and has a particular request when it comes to how her drinks are served.
Her Majesty, 93, is said to insist that she is not served ice cubes in the typical square shape. Author Karen Dolby, who wrote Queen Elizabeth II’s Guide to Life, told Fabulous Digital: “The Queen likes her ice cubes in her glass to be round so they don’t chink quite as much as square ones.”
The author said that the monarch has all drinks served with her preferred ice cubes in her homes.
